Hello there! 

This is a page explaining my contribution to the game 'My Lover's Body is a Temple (and together we make Miracles)'. 

This page, and the page for my collaborator Nimael, exist so that by putting all pages in a bundle, we can both receive payment for our work (itch does not currently support any other form of revenue sharing).

So what did I bring to the temple?

April marked the beginning of the #TRANSFUCKINGJAM, another celebration of trans art run by @stargazersasha. Having participated in #TRANSFUCKINGRAGEJAM and #TRANSJOYJAM and having a blast, I knew I wanted to create a game for this jam too.

When I think of the theme 'trans fucking', I think about the unique way I have come to know my body, how my body is different from cis bodies, and how this difference has impacted my readiness for sex and intimacy.
I also think of the ways in which queer people support each other in exploring how we want to present ourselves to the world, the ways in which we make our bodies a home (or a temple).
And finally, I think of the power of openly, mega-queer, super-trans sex. Overcoming stereotypes and expectations of what sex 'should be', and putting mutual pleasure first instead. I think of the power of trans sex to be healing and nourishing.

Somewhere from these thoughts came the idea of a 2 player game of a Temple and a Worshipper, of exploration and worship, of care and reverence and consent.

After floating the idea in the Reliquary Street Station discord, Nimael offered to do layout again. Having worked with them during #TRANSFUCKINGRAGEJAM, I was overjoyed to have them on board again. All the layout work is theirs, and you can learn more on their Contribution Page.
