To celebrate this year's Yazeba's Jam, I recreated my D&D character as a Guest for anyone to play in their game of Yazeba's Bed and Breakfast.

โš”๏ธ๐Ÿ“œ๐Ÿ‘ช๐Ÿฆ…

Nover Hollow was the first D&D character I made. A human fighter - something I couldn't screw up.
And yet, as time went on, Nover grew more complicated. Over the 4ish years I played Nover Hollow, he changed and so did I.

โš”๏ธ๐Ÿ“œ๐Ÿ‘ช๐Ÿฆ…

When I last left Nover, I'd seen him all the way through from level 1, to level 20, and beyond to his epilogue - marriage, foster kids, a new career, and finally, death.

But there is one space in particular that is ripe for more storytelling. Nover died twice of old age, and was brought back to life by his elven partner, to continue living their lives together and supporting their family.

Though D&D does have lore for where a soul goes while the body awaits reanimation, I like to imagine that perhaps Nover's soul drifted off to a certain B&B while his husband prepared his resurrection spell...

Who will this retired adventurer become in you hands? I'd love to hear if Nover ever makes it to your B&B!

You'll find some wonderful art by Kaitlin Bruder (who you can find here) so you can get a vibe of what your Nover might look like.

Image 1 description: A young man with light brown skin and black hair. His hair is easily long enough to run his hands through, and tussled. He has a modest moustache and goatee. A light smile plays on his lips. He wears a red tunic, and on top of that, full plate bronze armour. It's a little damaged with scratches and scorch marks, but you could miss them if you didn't look too closely.

Image 2 description: The biggest notable difference is his eyes and his stance. Nover looks uncertain and a little weary. His hair has been cut short. An undercut, still long-ish and tussled on top, but short and faded on the sides. His facial hair has grown into a full beard, though kept trimmed close to his jawline. His red tunic is the same, but on top, he now wears bulky, steel-grey armour. A greatsword is strapped onto his back, the hilt visible over his shoulder.

Image 3 description: Nover is now an old man. His hair is long, wavy, and streaked with grey. His beard is also greying, and has 4 braids in it. Each one symbolises his 3 children and his husband. Nover wears a blue shirt slightly open, showing chest hair. On top he wears a deep red robe. He holds a quill in one hand and a book in the other, taking notes on something. His faces holds a gentle smile, the lines on his face have morphed from worry lines to laughter lines. He is happy.

And these images are merely a reference point. Feel free to update and play with your Nover however you like. Maybe he gets a mohawk and tries pastel skirts, who knows!

This is a really lovely character, and the art is fantastic. I absolutely love how the blend of greys/whites was stylized and the shape of his soft dark curls- the way his nose was drawn is also just *chef's kiss.* Thanks for sharing!

thank you! Iโ€™m very fond of him. And yes, Kaitlin did fantastic job with the art!! 10/10 highly recommend
