You are one of many residents here.
Your neighbours include various kinds of ducks, the occasional swamphen and coot, some herons, lots of non-water birds, dragonflies, frogs, spiders, other insects, nodding saltbush, tall spikerush, slender knotweed, and many other plants. And of course your family of dusky moorhens!
Recently, humans have been visiting the wetlands. Some of them just pass through, but you want them to really feel part of the wetlands, because they are. Every being who touches the wetlands is a part of it, so it’s important to be conscious and careful and kind about each interaction.
You’re going to make friends with all of them so they feel welcome and connected here!
