Hello!

Welcome to the first proper issue of Birds and Games (in that order), my arhythmic newsletter. I have an exciting announcement, so let's hop to it!

BIRDS

First thing's first - I went for a walk to the bakery to get some bread and saw a nest with 2 baby Noisy Mynars in it! They were so tiny and cute and fluffy. I didn't take a picture because I didn't want to overstay my welcome and stress out the parent Mynars.

What I can share a picture of is this!

My friend Mel gave me this woolen jumper, which I eco-dyed. And then my friend Trace draw a Welcome Swallow on a piece of fabric for me, and then my friend Sophie taught me how to blanket stitch so I could sew it on! Textile craft is very new to me, so this is a pretty exciting development.

GAMES

Speaking of developments, eagle-eyed followers might have noticed that I released a Beta for a new game of mine last week.

A Knight's Oath is a new game I've been working on for almost a year at this point, very sporadically. It's Powered by the Apocalypse inspired, with some added cool bits. What's most exciting to me about this game is that it's the first time I'm designing for campaign play. It's a different design lens for sure! I'm exploring character progression and adventure hooks, and quite enjoying myself. In addition, I'm experimenting with a pretty loud and clear narrator voice, another new thing for me.
